Description

The ovary is not only the organ where oocytes are produced, grow and mature, but also one of the target organs of gonadotropins secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. The ovarian interstitium provides a microenvironment for follicular growth and development, and is mainly composed of ovarian interstitial cells. Clarifying the mechanisms and regulatory factors underlying the changes in the proliferation and endocrine functions of ovarian interstitial cells during the estrous cycle and pregnancy is of great significance for further studying the regulation of follicular development, ovulation, corpus luteum formation and regression, ovarian atrophy, the pathogenesis of ovarian interstitial cell tumors, as well as the roles of hormones and cytokines involved in these physiological and pathological processes.

Immortalized Mouse Ovarian Mesenchymal Stromal Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
