Description

The gastric wall generally consists of three layers: the inner layer is the mucosa, the outer layer is the serosa, and the middle layer is the muscularis composed of smooth muscle. Fibroblasts are the most common cells in connective tissue and are differentiated from embryonic mesenchymal cells. One of the main functions of fibroblasts is to synthesize collagen and other extracellular matrix components, and they play an important role in the fibrosis of tissues and organs.

Immortalized Rat Gastric Fibroblasts were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
