Description

Mouse Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (MUVEC) are primary cells isolated from mouse umbilical cord tissues and constitute one of the cellular components of the umbilical vein. These cells are widely utilized in the research of cardiovascular diseases, angiogenesis, vascular permeability and other related fields. Mouse Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells are derived from umbilical cord tissues. The umbilical cord is a tubular structure connecting the fetus and placenta, consisting of the umbilical arteries, umbilical vein, omphalomesenteric arteries and omphalomesenteric veins. In the uterus, the vascular system of the umbilical cord mediates the exchange of gases and nutrients between the placenta, maternal body and fetus. Mouse Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells serve as an ideal in vitro cell model for biomedical research.

Immortalized Mouse Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
