Description

Mouse aortic endothelial cells (MAECs) are monolayer squamous epithelial cells lining the mouse aorta. By secreting vasoactive substances (e.g., NO, prostacyclin) and expressing adhesion molecules, they regulate vascular tone, inflammatory responses and thrombosis, and are widely used in research on atherosclerosis, hypertension, diabetic vasculopathy and vascular regeneration.

Immortalized Mouse Aortic Endothelial Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
