Description

Human umbilical artery endothelial cells (HUAECs) are primary endothelial cells isolated from neonatal umbilical arteries. They possess high proliferative capacity and the ability to secrete vasoactive substances (e.g., NO, ET-1), and are commonly used as a model for studying vascular function, pregnancy-related diseases (e.g., preeclampsia) and drug screening. With easy access and minimal ethical concerns, they are widely applied in cardiovascular and perinatal medical research.

Immortalized Human Umbilical Artery Endothelial Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
