Immortalized Human Normal Colon Epithelial Cells

Description

Human normal colonic epithelial cells are primary, non-immortalized mixed populations (including absorptive cells, goblet cells, etc.). They realistically mimic the barrier function, absorption-secretion characteristics and self-renewal ability of colonic epithelium in vivo, but are difficult to culture in vitro and have a limited lifespan.

Immortalized Human Normal Colon Epithelial Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
