Description
cAMP NOMAD MC4R Cell Line
cAMP NOMAD Cells are cell lines stably co-expressing tag-free GPCRs and cAMP Nomad Biosensor to monitor G-protein modulation by cAMP release. Each vial of cAMP NOMAD MC4R Cell Line contains U2OS cells stably expressing the following constructs:
- Human MC4 receptor with no tag
- cAMP Nomad Biosensor (Green Fluorescence)
cAMP NOMAD MC4R Cell Line allows the assay of compounds analyzing the G-Protein signaling pathway via cAMP production upon receptor activation. When an agonist binds to MC4R, a G protein is activated, which in turn triggers a cellular response mediated by cAMP. This leads to an increase in the green fluorescence intensity of the cAMP biosensor. So, the activity can be easily quantified in living cells in a dose-response manner by fluorescence emission in a microplate reader.
