Description

Rat aortic endothelial cells (RAECs) are monolayer squamous epithelial cells lining the rat aorta, forming the vascular barrier and blood-vessel wall interface. By secreting vasoactive substances (e.g., NO, ET-1), they regulate vascular tone, inflammatory responses and thrombosis, and hold core value in research on hypertension, atherosclerosis and vascular regeneration.

Immortalized Rat Aortic Endothelial Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
