Description
Human esophageal epithelial cells (hEECs) are non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelial cells lining the esophagus, forming the first physical and immune barrier of the digestive tract. They hold core value in research on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett’s esophagus and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC).
Immortalized Human Esophageal Epithelial Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
