Human vaginal fibroblasts (HVFs) are the major stromal cells isolated from vaginal wall tissue. They maintain the elasticity and structural integrity of vaginal tissue, and play a key role in research on pelvic floor dysfunction (e.g., stress urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse), postmenopausal vaginal atrophy and tissue regeneration by regulating extracellular matrix (ECM) metabolism (e.g., collagen, elastin) and cytokine secretion.

Immortalized Human Vaginal Fibroblasts were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
