Description
HEK293 Cell Line Stably Expressing SARS-CoV-2 Membrane Protein
SARS-CoV-2 Membrane Protein Cell Line stable expresses SARS-CoV-2 Membrane Protein (M protein). Coronaviruses (CoVs) infect human and animals and cause varieties of diseases, such as respiratory, enteric, renal, and neurological diseases.
The SARS-CoV-2 genome comprises approximately 30,000 nucleotides, which encodes four structural proteins; including spike (S) protein, envelope (E) protein, membrane (M) protein, and nucleocapsid (N) protein. M protein is a glycoprotein and consists of three domains: a C-terminal endodomain, a triple-spanning transmembrane domain and also a short N terminal ectodomain. M protein is the most abundant structural protein in viral nucleocapsid. It is essential for CoV assembly and plays a key role in maintenance of virion shape and architecture.
