Description
Rat lung fibroblasts are the major stromal cells isolated from rat lung tissue. They are responsible for the synthesis and remodeling of extracellular matrix (ECM), and play a key role in research on pulmonary fibrosis (e.g., idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, IPF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma and lung injury repair.
Immortalized Rat Lung Fibroblasts were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
