Description
Rat colonic smooth muscle cells are primary cells isolated from rat colonic tissue. As gastrointestinal smooth muscle cells, they possess spontaneous rhythmic contraction and electrophysiological activity, and are widely used in research on gastrointestinal motility, enteric nervous system regulation and drug screening.
Immortalized Rat Colonic Smooth Muscle Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
