Description

Green Fluorescent Calcitonin Receptor Cell Line contains CHO-K1 cells stably expressing CALCR tagged with tGFP. These Cell lines proliferate in vitro maintaining fluorescent GPCR expression following the cell culture manual. The Green Fluorescent Calcitonin Receptor Cell Line allows to assay compounds, or analyze their capability to modulate CALCR activation and the following redistribution process inside the cells. When a ligand binds to the CALCR, it activates a G protein, which internalizes in big and high intensity vesicles. This cell line has been validated measuring Fluorescent CALCR redistribution by increase of fluorescence surrounding the nuclei using image analysis algorithms. The high reproducibility of this assay allows monitoring Calcitonin Receptor redistribution process in High Throughput Screening.
