Claudins Cell Lines

Claudins are tetraspan transmembrane proteins of tight junctions. They determine the barrier properties of this type of cell-cell contact existing between the plasma membranes of two neighboring cells, such as occurring in endothelia or epithelia. There are two groups of claudins: classic claudins (1-10, 14, 15, 17, 19) and non-classic claudins (11-13, 16, 18, 20-24), according to sequence similarity [Krause et al]. Among these claudins, Claudin 18 has high expression in gastric cancers and other cancers. It has become a potential biomarker and drug target.

Cells Online offers Claudins cell lines, including CHO-K1 CLDN18.2 Cell line and HEK293 CLDN18.2 Cell Line, for claudins biology and drug discovery.
