Description

Guinea pig tracheal fibroblasts (GPTFs) are the major stromal cells distributed in the submucosa and interstitium of guinea pig trachea. By secreting extracellular matrix (ECM) and inflammatory mediators, they participate in airway remodeling, chronic inflammation (e.g., asthma, COPD) and fibrosis, serving as an important model for studying the pathological mechanisms of respiratory diseases and anti-fibrotic therapy.

Immortalized Guinea Pig Tracheal Fibroblasts were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
