Description
Human aortic smooth muscle cells (HASMCs) are contractile cells isolated from the tunica media of human aorta. They maintain vascular tone, elasticity and structural integrity, and hold core value in research on cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis (AS), aortic aneurysm, vascular calcification and hypertension.
Immortalized Human Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
