Description
Human dermal papilla cells are specialized mesenchymal cells located in the dermal papilla region at the base of hair follicles. They regulate the hair follicle cycle (anagen/catagen/telogen) by secreting growth factors such as WNT, BMP and FGF, and serve as a core target for studying alopecia (androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata), hair follicle regeneration and hair tissue engineering.
Immortalized Human Dermal Papilla Cells were transduced with lentivirus carrying the SV40 gene and puromycin resistance. Tests confirmed that the cells are free from bacterial and fungal contamination, exhibit excellent proliferation potential, and can be passaged 10-20 times in vitro.
